Our Directing Staff
Karen Burton, Director
Karen Burton first appeared on stage at the ripe old age of 3 as a singer with her father’s gospel group.  Since then, she moved on and off the stage in numerous ways as a singer, actress, writer, director and public speaker.  Recently, she appeared in ACT II’s Arsenic and Old Lace and Greetings!.  Her directing credits include On Golden Pond, Godspell, Once Upon an Island, Aladdin and Silent Night.  She is a member of the ACT II Board, currently serving as its secretary.  She wants to extend a warm thank you to Charles Harris, this extraordinary cast, and the folks behind the scenes who are working to bring Christmas Belles to the stage.
Charles Harris, Assistant Director
Charles Harris is taking a step off the stage for his first experience in the directing side of theater.  He has recently been seen on the ACT II stage in Arsenic and Old Lace, Opal’s Husband, and Lend Me a Tenor.  This past summer, he portrayed “Job” in DTC’s production of J.B.   Charles is a member of the Act II Board, serving as technical advisor.  He is excited to be working with this talented group of old and new friends in this production, and wants to thank Karen Burton for inviting him to sit on the “other” side of the stage.
The Play
It's Christmas-time in the small town of Fayro, Texas.  the Futrelle Sisters are not exactly in a festive mood.  Frankie is weeks overdue with her second set of twins.  Twink is in jail for inadvertently burning down half the town.  And hot-flash-suffering Honey Raye is desperately trying to keep the Tabernacle of the Lamb's Christmas Program from spriraling into chaos.  The celebrity guest Santa Claus is passing a kidney stone. One of the shepherds refuses to watch over the flock without pulling his little red wagon.  And the entire cast is suffering from food poisoning. The hilarious holiday journey through a misadventure-filled Christmas Eve is guaranteed to bring joy to your world!
